Navigating Connected Patterns

Course level patterns are constructed using pedagogically aligned patterns at pedagogical approach, curriculum component and task levels. Below is an example of how different levels of patterns are used to construct a popular course pattern at the K-12 level: Conducting scientific investigation using the self-directed learning pedagogical approach.

Users can click onto any of the four pattern categories below. After choosing a pattern, a description of the context and features relevant to the implementation of that pattern will appear. Below each pattern description, there will be some suggested patterns (at the same or different levels) that go well together with the specific pattern under consideration (i.e. aligned in terms of targeted learning outcome goals and/or pedagogy) during implementation.
